Player-visible changes

The issue guides below connect each official change to a specific symptom and safe checks. A patch announcement records what the developer addressed; it is not a guarantee that every old save is recoverable.

  1. Mission save state: Saving at certain points during a mission could prevent any further progression. The official note groups affected missions without assigning each failure to every named job.
  2. Loading-screen artwork: An outdated logo appeared on side-quest loading screens; the developer removed it in Update 6.
  3. Fuses: The developer improved fuse insertion in Update 6; the note does not specify a universal cause for every failed insertion.
  4. Fuses: The developer improved fuse removal in Update 6, separately from fixing objectives related to removing fuses.
  5. Inventory: A bought item was present before saving but absent after loading.
  6. Object placement: An item placed in the room disappears when the save is loaded.
  7. Car trunk: Contents that were stored in the car vanish after a load.
  8. Assembly: A previously installed object appears partly assembled again after loading.
  9. Electrical wiring: Electrical cable work reverts or becomes blocked after a load.
  10. Fuses: A fuse changes state or becomes blocked after loading.
  11. Work Plans: Work completed before a save is no longer credited after loading.
  12. Windows: Part of an installed window is missing after loading.
  13. Assembly: Loading a save made partway through assembly prevents further progress.
  14. Furniture repair: A repair cannot resume after loading an in-progress repair save.
  15. Dialogue: Previously completed dialogue triggers again at the wrong point after loading.
  16. Mission progression: Loading returns the mission to a previously completed stage.
  17. Breakable objects: An object that was broken returns after loading.
  18. Breakable objects: An object saved intact appears broken after loading.
  19. Mission progression: Doing an action earlier than expected can leave the later objective blocked.
  20. Screwdriver: Required unscrewing is not recognized as complete.
  21. Fuses: The fuse is removed but its objective remains open.
  22. Side jobs: The new-side-jobs message appears without a corresponding useful change.
  23. Movement: The player is trapped beyond normal playable geometry.
  24. Travel: Travel to the prison never completes its loading screen.
  25. Lockpick: Saving after receiving the lockpick from Zbyszek can block progress.
  26. Mission progression: A progression blocker occurs in Reward.
  27. Fuses: The fuse-related stage is absent in One More Time.
  28. Drill: Using the tape measure can leave later drilling or other interaction blocked.
  29. Leveler: A leveling interaction prevents later painting or another action.
  30. Masking tape: Tape placement behaves unexpectedly at short lengths or at its ends.
  31. Wood paneling: A panel vanishes while it is being placed.
  32. Inventory: Taking an item out near a wall makes it spawn behind the wall.
  33. Shelves: Assembly fails for the Michael bathroom shelf.
  34. Carpet: The carpet placement ghost remains attached to the player's hand.
  35. Tiles: A tile placed without adhesive disappears on the next attempt.
  36. Garage: Objects, tiles or ceiling sections vanish around a garage transition.
  37. Wall hanging: A mirror hung in the church is absent after leaving by car.
  38. Audio: A tool keeps making its working sound when it should be idle.
  39. Catalog: Some tiles or paintings lack their expected names or icons.
  40. Pawn shop: The pawn shop shows an incorrect buying or selling value.
  41. Player state: A drunk visual effect survives starting a new game.

Before retesting

Let Steam finish updating and preserve the save that reproduces the issue. Compare one action at a time and report a new regression with the installed build and exact objective.
