Hammer — tile demolition versus accidental damage

Work order / direct answer

Wreck-It Maciek requires smashing twenty tiles with a hammer. That names both the target and the action; breaking a glass pane, dropping furniture or damaging a tile while standing up after cutting is not the same documented requirement.

Choose the intended target

Check the active demolition objective before swinging. The achievement describes an in-game tile action, not permission to damage every client surface. This guide does not establish a penalty-free farming room or a universal hammer durability value.

Keep demolition and cutting separate

Tile cutting has its own interaction and official fault history. Update 4 addressed nearby tiles breaking when the player automatically stood up after cutting. If damage occurs at that transition, record the stance change rather than counting it as a verified hammer action.

Use a progress record

Track deliberate hammer-on-tile actions separately from Steam's unlocked state. A counter that does not visibly change is not enough to diagnose a bug unless the same action and requirement were confirmed. Preserve your ordinary mission progress instead of repeatedly destroying completed work.
